Aussie Millions: Playr Welome Party Gossip
ThePlayr's Danielle Angel partied with stars including Gus Hansen, Michael Vartan and Joe Hachem at the Aussie Millions Official Playr Welcome Party. Heres how the party started!

The party started at 7pm on Wednesday January 14, at Breezes in the Crown Towers. The dress was smart casual and the party was to welcome special guests from around the world to celebrate what is set to be the biggest and most exciting Aussie Millions to date.

3 stories high in the open cool breeze playrs and special guests walked through the door casually in general heading straight for the bar. The popular drinks of the night were Jim Beam Black Label, Crown Lager and Champagne. The hot Jim Beam marketing chics arriving early to sponsor their product.

The party was of course an Aussie Theme the first song played by the band the famous "Land Down Under" originally by Men at Work. As the song progressed out came its matching creatures ahhhhhhh. In amongst the crowd were not only poker players but would you believe Snakes, Lizards and Crocodiles! It is very true I have pictures to prove it! I was not drinking at this stage of the party just in case you think i have lost my marbles.

Those to hold the creatures included almost every star and poker player there, journos kids and the like. Quite a surprise and exciting start of the party. All persons were assured they didn't bite, I can tell you though I was expecting it, those snakes in particular looked mad and the crocodile had its mouth taped up to stop it snapping. I was waiting for someone to cop the bite including last years Aussie Millions Poker Championship winner Alexander Kostritsyn who seemed to love the crocodile!

Others such as Australian Boxer and now Poker Player Jeff Fenech who is used to taking on contestants such as Kostya Tszyu took on the smaller of animals such as the frilled neck lizard he is pictured fighting with below :

I on the other hand really braved it out and over came a fear that many of us have. As I found at the party many poker players would much prefer to be holding poker chips and cards then SNAKES!!!!!! It was pretty hard to get a pic of any poker player or star holding the snakes so in I went and did it myself just to prove there were actually snakes there.

These things were terrifying and players wives and also them self squealed as they turned to see snakes hissing in their faces. They are not the nicest creatures but seemed to be behaved except when they were headed in the wrong direction with mouth open and tongue hissing like in the picture of me.

That's all on the initial start of the party and trust me it is just a warm up. For more details check back to ThePlayr.com soon for party info and gossip #2.
