Aussie Millions : Alexander Kostritsyn Will Not Win Twice
Last Years Aussie Millions Winner Alexander Kostritsyn has lost his chance to win the Main Event 2 years running being knocked out along with other early casualties including Jeff Lisandro and Chris (Jesus) Ferguson.

Flight 2 of the Aussie Millions Poker Championship 2009 Main Event attracted more players then the previous day including 2008 champion Alexander Kostritsyn, Erik Seidel, Annette "Annette_15" Obrestad, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, Grant Levy, Ivan Demidov , Jeff Madsen and many, many more.

Alex Kostritsyn was one of the early casualties and has lost his chance for consecutive wins after raised from the button with (K-Hearts)(K-Clubs), and Josh Malone called him to see the flop being (8-Spades)(J-Spades)(6-Diamonds) . Malone bet out at the pot and Kostritsyn immediately re-raised. Malone called the re-raise, and the turn brought the (4-Hearts). Malone checked, Kostritsyn bet, and Malone check-raised all in. Kostritsyn at this stage was ahead of Malone's (A-Spades)(Q-Spades). The (4-Spades) on the river gave Malone the flush knocking him out.

The preliminary chip count at the end of flight 2 of 3 looked like this :

Brett Daphne -- 120,250
Josh Malone -- 112,400
Sam Vakili -- 106,300
Michael Toreniec -- 101,525
Ali Ghezelbash -- 92,575
Erol Aygon -- 92,100
Josh Onas -- 89,700
Ivan Demidov -- 81,925
Annica Zvert -- 81,575
Michael 'Timex' McDonald -- 80,675

The hopeful Alex makes a speech at the main event opening. His chances of consecutive wins are now crushed.
